The industry’s top digital retailing solutions providers will take to the PALS stage to discuss digital retailing at the 2019 event.

NEW ORLEANS — The 2019 P&A Leadership Summit will include a panel session dedicated to digital retailing and moderated by AGWS’ executive vice president, Daniel Lievrouw. This year’s event will be held Nov. 4–6 at the New Orleans Marriott.

“OEMs and dealers are pouring money into consumer shopping solutions,” said Lievrouw. “For the past few years, digital retailing companies have learned the importance of F&I products to the dealer’s overall sales process. Successfully including products like vehicle service contract and ancillary products is an industry challenge. Providers cannot completely rely on dealers and their vendors to effectively present products in this new arena,” he added.

“For the past few years, digital retailing companies have learned the importance of F&I products to the dealer’s overall sales process."

During “F&I Product Selling in a Digital Marketplace,” the varying perspectives surrounding online shopping will be explored. Lievrouw will be joined by a panel of industry experts, including:

  • Carl Ciaramitaro, managing director, Provider Exchange Network
  • Joe Chura, CEO, Dealer Inspire
  • Joe St. John, head of digital retail, AutoFi
  • Matt Weinberg, senior vice president of consumer experience, Modal (fmr. Drive Motors)

The team will collectively tackle topics such as product placement, shopping vs buying online, hand-off to F&I and consumer self-paced shopping. Not all agree about online buying, but this team now agrees that consumers will most likely shop online for their next auto purchase.
