Schaumburg, Ill. – American Auto Guardian Inc. (AAGI) successfully completed an independent audit for the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16, Type 2.

The SSAE 16 compliance designation affirms AAGI’s commitment to meet the highest industry standards for its administration of automotive aftermarket products. Completion of the SSAE 16 Type 2 Audit indicates that AAGI’s processes, procedures and controls have been evaluated and tested by an independent accounting and auditing firm, and that they are operating effectively. The SSAE 16 audit is recognized by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) as an acceptable method for a user organization to obtain assurance about a service organization’s internal controls without conducting separate assessments.

Tim Brugh, president, AAGI, said, “This is another step in the progression of AAGI that confirms our integrity, accountability and commitment to our partners. I’m proud of the manner in which the company worked diligently to achieve the SSAE 16 Certification.”
