LAS VEGAS — Peter Chafetz of Allstate Dealer Services will present a session dedicated to training at this year’s Agent Summit, organizers announced Tuesday. The event will be held May 9–11 at the Venetian Palazzo Las Vegas.
“Peter brings passion and intensity to every topic he takes on, not to mention a long training résumé,” said David Gesualdo, show chair and publisher of Agent Entrepreneur and F&I and Showroom. “Agents and agency principals who understand the value of ongoing training must not miss this session.”
Chafetz is vice president of agent sales and training at Allstate Dealer Services, the company he joined in 2011 after serving in executive positions with EasyCare and JM&A Group. His session, “Training Points of Impact,” will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10. He pledged to go above and beyond the typical training session, touching on “impact points” such as higher levels of performance, longer, more durable partnerships and staff loyalty.
“Change is inevitable, and training and development in our industry is not immune,” Chafetz said. “As the demographics of the individuals attending your training classes continue to evolve, you may want to take a hard look at your overall approach to training and the tactics you employ. What’s worked in the past may not have the same impact with today’s learners. Don’t train for the sake of training; train with purpose.”
Registration for Agent Summit is now open at the event’s website as well as by phone, fax and email. Attendees who register by April 4 will enjoy a $100 discount.
