The Reynolds and Reynolds Company is nearing completion on a new three-story developer-focused building in Houston, Texas,  to provide software developers an ideal environment to work, innovate and serve automotive dealership needs.

“At a time when the automotive industry is rapidly changing, innovation is key to dealers’ success,” said company President Chris Walsh. “We must continue to invest in the company’s assets and people to be the industry leader we are and that dealers deserve.”

Reynolds and Reynolds provides auto dealership software, services and forms to help dealerships deliver better business results and improve the customer experience. The company is headquartered in Dayton, Ohio.

To meet demand, and in light of the growth and expansion the company has experienced over the past two years, Reynolds envisioned and built a facility dedicated to software development.

The building's 376 offices, video conference room, and lab areas are all equipped with fiber optic cabling and other world-class amenities. The investment will significantly increase reliability, bandwidth, speed and productivity.

“We’re creating an ideal workspace for the individual and further maximizing productivity with faster PCs and more drive space than developers currently have,” said Scott Barr, senior vice president of software development.

Maximizing efficiency is also reflected in the building itself. A low-profile raised floor has been installed in the state-of-the art video conference and lab areas, allowing for quick and easy reconfiguration from one large room to up to four individual rooms.

Finally, the building showcases a new lobby museum that tells Reynolds’ story of innovation, the company’s philosophy behind software development, and its history of building industry-leading products to help dealerships succeed at every level.
