Ford has issued a recall of 2015 to 2019 Lincoln MKC sports-utility vehicles over a fire-risk issue, Reuters reported.

The recall affects 142,000 vehicles in the U.S. and involves fires under the hood, the news agency said.

Ford is telling owners of the vehicles to park them outdoors and away from buildings as it investigates the issue, Reuters said.

It said the Michigan-based carmaker has indicated the fire issue may be related to 12-volt batteries and that Ford knows of 19 potentially related such fires but no injuries.

The fires apparently happened when the vehicles’ engines were turned off and the vehicles parked, Reuters said.
