San Diego — MCI Inspections launched its Online Inspector Training and Certification Program. The new program was designed to offer free training and certification to automotive technicians who wish to become inspectors, as well as claims adjusters.

The online course is available now. Mark Coulter, owner of MCI Inspections, said the program is an extension of the company’s longstanding goal of providing accurate, thorough reports to their partners in the vehicle service contract segment.

“The service contract industry has been asking for an inspector certification and training program for some time,” Coulter said. “MCI Inspections accepted this challenge and proceeded to build our own.”

Coulter brings 25 years of experience as an inspector to the task. He and Van Cooper, an experienced claims manager, built the program with assistance and feedback from working techs, inspectors and warranty administrators.

“There is a true value to this program,” said Steve Juresich, vice president at National Auto Care. “It brings continuity between the inspectors and the adjusters to obtain a complete inspection report.”
