AUSTIN — Organizers of the upcoming Texas Compliance Summit have announced that Aaron Lunt, assistant general counsel and head of regulatory affairs for The Warranty Group, will serve as a featured speaker at the event, which is scheduled for Nov. 16–17, 2015, at the Hilton Austin Airport Hotel.

“As regulators have applied increasing pressure to our industry, Aaron has emerged as a leading voice of reason,” said David Gesualdo, show chair and publisher of Auto Dealer Today and F&I and Showroom. “We are honored by his continued presence at our events.”

Lunt appeared as a panelist at Midwest Compliance Summit in April and delivered “The CFPB’s Impact on the F&I Industry,” the opening keynote address at September’s P&A Leadership Summit. Before joining The Warranty Group, Lunt, an Illinois-licensed attorney, handled a variety of insurance regulatory issues as an executive with a large commercial insurer.

“I’m honored to provide an update on the CFPB’s activities in the auto finance segment at the Texas Compliance Summit in November,” Lunt said. “The automotive industry is under increasing regulatory pressure — requiring manufacturers, dealers and service partners alike to evolve at a rapid pace. I look forward to an informative and interactive discussion with session attendees as we consider the risks and opportunities this evolution presents.”

Registration for Texas Compliance Summit is open at the event’s website. Attendees who register on or before Oct. 26 will enjoy a $100 discount. More information, including the full agenda, will be available soon.
