Plano, Texas – TrueSpot, a new Internet of Things (IoT) asset location platform developer, announced that it has integrated with DealerBuilt’s LightYear Dealer Management System (DMS). This integration expands access to the automotive industry’s first Real-Time Asset Location Platform to a premier provider of Dealer Management Systems for retail dealerships.

TrueSpot was founded to bring new tools, technology and insights to auto dealers through the power of real-time location data.

According to TrueSpot CEO Mike Hanna, “TrueSpot was founded to bring new tools, technology and insights to auto dealers through the power of real-time location data. As a growing leader in DMS solutions, collaboration with DealerBuilt was a no-brainer.”

It is estimated that US retail auto dealers spend more than $325 million per year to replace lost keys and lose another $3 Billion a year in inefficiency and wasted time tracking down assets. This translates into tens of thousands of dollars of losses for single dealership owners, not to mention fueling an environment and reputation of frustrated, waiting customers, walkaways, and lost revenue.

TrueSpot’s new platform integrates with a dealer’s data to streamline workflows and dramatically reduces or eliminates these costs while adding new capabilities that boost productivity and sales performance. The platform enables mobile phone access to vehicle features, options, and prices to ensure sales staff is always knowledgeable and fully sales-ready as they walk the lot.

“We are excited to partner with TrueSpot to bring new location-based solutions to our dealers,” said Veronica Dunford, Executive Vice President of Business Development at DealerBuilt. “TrueSpot is a welcome addition to our network of integration partners that provide innovative solutions to the dealer community.”

TrueSpot Real-Time Location Services (RTLS), Lot Management 360, and TrueRecon technologies will seamlessly integrate with DealerBuilt to make lost productivity and key costs associated with searching for missing cars and keys a thing of the past.
