ST. LOUIS – Dent Wizard International, a provider of automotive reconditioning services and vehicle protection products in North America, recently formed a partnership with PermaSafe Protective Coatings, the maker of a unique vehicle disinfection and long-term antimicrobial surface and air protection system. The PermaSafe System meets the EPA’s criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus that causes the disease COVID-19.
It’s a timely solution for a top-of-mind concern.
Dealerships and rental companies can purchase the product through Evolution, with detailed instructions and support on applying PermaSafe to a vehicle. PermaSafe can be offered on all new and used vehicles upon delivery and can be sold to customers scheduled in service.
The PermaSafe System is a two-step process, comprising two patented and EPA-registered products: PermaSafe CLEAN and PermaSafe SHIELD. PermaSafe CLEAN is an EPA registered multi-purpose cleaner, heavy duty odor eliminator, airborne odor eliminator, no-rinse, no-wipe mold and mildew eliminator, allergen eliminator, sanitizer and broad spectrum, hospital-grade, disinfectant. It is one of the broadest spectrum antimicrobial solution available, and the perfect “primer” for the second step, PermaSafe SHIELD.
When applied, PermaSafe SHIELD creates an invisible shield that inhibits the growth of microorganisms and continuously helps prevent the growth and spread of bacteria. Unlike conventional disinfectants and antimicrobials, SHIELD doesn’t kill germs by poisoning them with toxic chemicals, but rather via a patented “electro-mechanical process,” enabling it to last and remain antimicrobially effective almost indefinitely.
How it works: Upon application, the patented active ingredient in PermaSafe SHIELD permanently bonds with the surfaces to which it’s applied. As the protective coating dries, millions of positively-charged microscopic “spikes” form and extend from the surface. Because bacteria, and other microbes are negatively charged, they are electrostatically pulled onto the positively-charged spikes and destroyed, as the spikes rupture their cell walls and electrocute them.
Upon application, the PermaSafe System provides a spectrum of protection:
Kills 99.999% of bacteria and viruses
Eliminates odors and allergens
Destroys and inhibits growth of mold, mildew and other microbes
Makes interior surfaces antimicrobial and virtually “Self-Sanitizing”
Sanitizes HVAC systems and ductwork
Continuously purifies passenger cabin air
PermaSafe can last and remain antimicrobially effective for months or more and uses no harmful chemicals.
“We’re responding to our markets – dealerships, rental companies and their customers – quickly and effectively with a proven, EPA-registered solution that offers ongoing protection,” said Lindsey Bird, division president of Evolution Vehicle Protection. “It’s a timely solution for a top-of-mind concern.”
PermaSafe treated vehicles can be easily identified with clings, mirror hangers, plus other POS messaging, giving customers peace of mind about their new purchase, rental, loaner or demo vehicle. Dealers can also protect the customer waiting areas and play areas within their dealerships.
