Protective Asset Protection, provider of finance-and-insurance programs and services, launched new specialty tire-and-wheel coverage products for RV, marine and powersports units.
Product coverage is for new and used RVs, marine and power-sport units. For power-sports, the offering covers tire repair or replacement and wheel repair or replacement and also includes limited roadside coverage. For RVs, it covers tire repair or replacement and wheel repair or replacement, and a towing and flat-tire allowance. For watercraft, it covers tire repair or replacement and wheel repair or replacement for marine trailers, and includes the towing and flat-tire allowance.
Replacements are limited to the same tire/wheel as the vehicle’s original equipment manufacturer’s tire/wheel or a comparable tire/wheel of like kind and quality if the original equipment manufacturer’s tire/wheel isn't available or out of production. There are no model-year restrictions, and commercial use and off-road power-sport units are ineligible for coverage. The program is available for core, retro and reinsurance participation programs.
“It is critically important that today’s dealers have quality and effective protection products to serve their RV, marine and powersports customers,” said Bill Koster, vice president of specialty sales and training for Protective Asset Protection. “Protective’s latest coverage and product suite is designed to equip dealers with the very best options for customers, with the necessary training and support materials to ensure they are delivered with education in mind.”
Protective’s RV, Powersports and Watercraft Tire & Wheel Protection provides repair and replacement coverage for tires and wheels damaged by a covered road hazard for up to seven years. For RVs and watercraft, coverage is extended to trailers and tow vehicles if damaged while towing the covered unit.
