Family-owned Carlock Automotive Group acquired Carver Toyota of Columbus in Taylorsville, Ind., from Roy J. Carver Jr. and Ashley Jannie.
The dealership was renamed Carlock Toyota of Columbus and will remain at its current location.
Carlock Automotive has 12 dealerships spanning Alabama, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and now Indiana.
The Toyota store was the sellers' sole dealership, and they sold for retirement purposes, said Performance Brokerage Services, which represented both the buyer and seller in the transaction through a collaboration of its Midwest East and Southeast offices.
“We are very pleased with the successful purchase of Carlock Toyota of Columbus (formerly Carver Toyota),” said Carlock Automotive Group President and owner Clay Carlock.
“Weldon Mann and I were honored to have represented Clay Carlock in the purchase of Carver Toyota of Columbus in Taylorsville, Indiana,” said Performance Brokerage Services partner and CPA Jimmy Robinson. “I have personally known Clay for a number of years, so it was exciting to not only do my first transaction with Clay, but also with his three sons Trace, Campbell and Wesley.”
