A Wisconsin dealership is now in the hands of a different homegrown automotive group after its recent sale.
Brodhead Chevrolet, just north of the Illinois state line, had been owned by the area Home Run Auto Group since 2017. It was picked up by Symdon Auto Group.
The dealership started out last century as Arnold Chevrolet Garage and has operated for decades since, according to Mach10 Automotive, which brokered the recent sale for both the buyer and seller.
Symdon, approached by a Mach10 representative that a Wisconsin store was available for purchase, took advantage of the opportunity to expand its presence in southern Wisconsin. It now has five stores.
“With the existing stores in our group, the acquisition makes tremendous strategic sense for us,” said Ryan Symdon. His group renamed the store Symdon Chevrolet of Brodhead.
Home Run Auto also decided to sell the dealership for strategic reasons. The group said the move facilitated a realignment of the brands it represents. It’s unclear how many dealerships make up the group’s stable.
