CornerStone Hires New Executives to Support Current Business and Expansion into the Auto Market

HICKORY, N.C. - CornerStone United, the most established consumer warranty programs administrator in the US and Canada, today announced the hiring of three seasoned industry experts to lead the company's further expansion into the automotive market. "We see the largest opportunity for future expansion to be in the auto sector," said Richard Swartzel, President, CornerStone United. "While our roots are primarily the administration of warranties and extended service contracts for powersports equipment, RV, HVAC, and appliances, our expansion and growth into the automotive market over the past several years has been phenomenal. With the addition of Frank, Matt, and Keith we're building a strong foundation to underpin our automotive agent and dealer base, while continuing to support our business."


Frank Caballero, VP Operations, will lead Claims and Customer Service operations. CornerStone realizes that the most effective way to manage our clients risk is to effectively implement controls and processes to minimize claims costs while improving customer response time. Frank has over 28 years of warranty administration experience, most recently at Safeguard International where he was Director of Operations. Frank is an accomplished, strategic-minded executive with significant expertise in leadership, business development, call center operations, sales and marketing gained in a number of national organizations in multiple industries.

Matt Maise, VP Sales & Marketing and Product Development, has over 26 years industry experience primarily at the executive level with the JM&A Group and General Motors Protection Plan. Matt's broad range of experience in the warranty administration industry includes vendor and client relationships, product development for major auto clients, development of rates and forms, competitive analysis, compliance, product launch and training, operations and profit and loss analysis.


Keith Townsend, VP Finance and CFO, is a licensed CPA with senior-level experience in finance, administration and public accounting gained in diverse industries including manufacturing, retail operations, construction, and various service industries. Keith's proven ability to improve operations, impact business growth, improve investments, achieve cost reductions, internal controls, and productivity will greatly benefit our company.
