DRIVIN, Chrome Data Announce Data Licensing Agreement
CHICAGO – DRIVIN this week announced it has signed an agreement to license Chrome Data’s Automotive Description Service (ADS) to enhance its inventory-sourcing marketplace.
Launched earlier this year, DRIVIN’s analytics platform is described as intelligent marketplace where used-car dealers can sell, buy and search used-vehicle inventory for their lot. With its connection to Chrome, the marketplace will provide users with access to more than 30 years of vehicle data and high-quality VIN and new-car, light-truck and motorcycle information.
"Improved data enables our dealer partners greater accuracy in making informed purchase decisions,” said Leslie Vander Baan, vice president of sales for DRIVIN.
Chrome Data CEO Greg Perrier added: “We are delighted that DRIVIN selected Chrome Data to enhance DRIVIN Marketplace to use our data to provide superior offerings to their customers.”
Chrome’s ADS utilizes proprietary technology and leverages OEM Build Data to yield more one-to-one trim matches, improved accuracy and detailed descriptions from a VIN or a VIN plus additional inputs, according to officials.
"Precise vehicle data assists dealers with spending less time in applications attempting to glean vehicle insights and more time on the sales process,” Vander Baan said. “We’re excited to see the increased success of our dealer partners over the next year.”
