The dealership will now operate as La Porte Ford with Jonathon O’Dell as general manager.

Auto Park Ford of La Porte was originally built in 1996 and purchased by Norris in 2020. The dealership is approximately 31,000 square feet, sitting on a nearly 13-acre lot, with 17 service bays.

Under the new ownership, the facility will undergo renovations “to meet current manufacturer requirements.”

Norris, who still owns dealerships in Bremen, Ind., and Sturgis, Mich., said he decided to sell the La Porte location “to devote more attention to his other dealership operations.” And he said that he “saw a strong cultural fit” with Sanderson due to their shared Midwestern roots and family values.

Sanderson identified Michigan and Northern Indiana as his target markets and said he hopes to grow his business there.

The acquisition was facilitated by the Tim Lamb Group for both the buyer and seller.
