Van Over to Establish a Paper Trail at Compliance Summit
LAS VEGAS — Organizers of the upcoming Compliance Summit Las Vegas have announced that trainer and compliance expert Gil Van Over will deliver a featured presentation at the event, which is scheduled for Aug. 29–30, 2016. The event will be held at Paris Las Vegas as part of the annual Industry Summit.
“Gil brings an encyclopedic knowledge of F&I operations and a lifetime of boots-on-the-ground experience to the Compliance Summit stage,” said David Gesualdo, show chair and publisher of Auto Dealer Today and F&I and Showroom. “I know our attendees will benefit from his expert advice.”
Van Over will serve as the featured speaker for the “Easy-to-Implement Processes and Controls” portion of the Compliance Summit agenda. In “The Paper Trail: A Dealer’s Best Defense Witness,” Van Over will discuss the importance of building a documentation process that can serve as a defense against litigation claims and government inquiries.
“Customers are generally asked to sign their name about 80 times from meet-and-greet through delivery, all within a couple of hours, with no prep time,” said Van Over, the founder and president of gvo3 & Associates. “We will focus on establishing processes, because if dealers can do it right and do it consistently, they’ve got a defense.”
Registration for Compliance Summit Las Vegas is open at the event’s website. The agenda also will include featured presentations devoted to Rules and Regulations and Your Responsibilities, as well as an open forum, “Is It Compliant?”
Attendees are welcome to take part in the rest of Industry Summit, and those who register by July 29 will enjoy a $100 discount. Attendees are also invited to sit for the Certified Automotive Compliance Specialist exam for no additional charge.
