GRAPEVINE, Texas — F&I products and service provider CareGard Warranty Services/AFG Companies Inc. announced the addition or promotion of four executives and plans to add a new building to its Grapevine, Texas, campus to make room for an expanding claims, technology, and administrative team.
“In today’s market, it takes all areas and support to be competitive in the automotive space. It’s no longer good enough just to provide the best products and services. Dealers and our clients need more, and CareGard will put more of an emphasis on income development,” said Wright Brewer, the company’s founder and chief executive. “That’s how we started, and not only will that continue, we are more determined and focused than ever to help serve our agents and their dealers in the area of true ‘income development’ that most companies are unable to provide.”
Thirty-two-year industry veteran Keith Cooper has joined the CGW team as senior vice president of client services and income development after serving in senior management positions with RoadVantage, IAS, GSFSGroup, and EFG Companies. Fellow new hire Denise Taylor brings more than 20 years of automotive industry experience to CareGard as project manager.
“Denise is wonderful. She navigates 10 to 15 special projects at a time, without missing a beat,” said Brewer.
Bryan Myers has been promoted to the role of senior vice president of sales after 12 years with CareGard and 20 years in the F&I space, focusing on new and existing agent and dealer partnerships, training, and income development.
Finally, John Zwart has been promoted to vice president of administration. The 20-year industry veteran and 11-year company veteran pivots from a sales and marketing to the division in which he got his start.
“John is an incredible person. His personality and attention to detail will serve him and our company to new heights,” Brewer said.
